BODY
Corner Radii: 4" x 7 1/4" x .160" mill finish
aluminum plate.
Crossmembers: I-beams spaced on 12" centers.
Floors: 1 3/8" hardwood floor with steel threshold plate,
3 screws per board.
Lights & Wiring: 7-way A.T.A., 12 volt, shock-mounted
sealed beam lights, wiring harness, externally accessible, not mounted
through crossmembers, mid-ship turn signals.
Side & Front Panels: .160" mill finish, aluminum plates,
48" wide.
Side Stiffeners: 5/16" x 6" 6061-T6 aluminum stiffeners
on 48" centers with three extra over coupler, three extra over
landing gear, one extra in front of bogie.
Undercoating: Floor, crossmembers and running gear are undercoated
with petrolatum base preservative to prevent deterioration from road
spray.
CHASSIS
Axle: 22,500 lbs. minimum rated beam capacity per axle.
Brakes: 16 1/2" x 7", air, with premium linings,
quick change shoes, out-of-adjustment stroke indicator.
Coupler, Upper: Full-width, heavy-gauge top and bottom plates;
height range 47" to 49"; high tensile steel for maximum
resistance to fatigue; 4 1/4" depth (can coupler is 3 1/2"
in depth); AAR rated.
Kingpin: 36" location; one-piece forged high tensile
alloy steel.
Mud Flaps: Anti-sail rubber.
Supports: Heavy duty 2-speed, steel sand shoes; heavy mounting
surfaces and rugged braces assure maximum strength to withstand loading
from any angle. AAR approved.
Suspension: Sliding tandems. Fixed position also available.
Tires: 295/75R22.5 radials.
